the louvre

art direction

the pyramid and the palace facades taken over, projected onto stone that argues back.

the louvre is the hardest surface of the three. the pyramid is glass and reflects, the palace behind it is carved and throws its own shadows, and both are lit warm before anything is projected onto them.

so the panels were cut to the architecture rather than laid over it: one motif per pane on the pyramid, one per window bay on the facade, so the building keeps its own grid and the campaign reads as something placed there rather than something spilled on it.
